About Us
Since 1960, our Society has brought together individuals and families connected to Thessaloniki, Greece, while preserving our cultural heritage, traditions, and community spirit in Toronto and throughout Ontario. We are proud to foster friendships, celebrate our shared roots, and provide opportunities for members of all ages to participate in cultural, social, and community activities.
Our Society’s Mission
The Thessalonikean Society of Toronto was founded to provide and facilitate the assembly of Canadians of Hellenic descent residing in the City of Toronto and throughout the Province of Ontario who originate from the Province of Thessaloniki, including their descendants, spouses, and those who have lived in Thessaloniki. Through social, cultural, and community activities, we foster friendship, engagement, and a sense of belonging, while preserving and celebrating the heritage, traditions, and values of Thessaloniki and Hellenism for present and future generations.
